Son/Daughter to Work Day for Year 9 Students

All Yr 9 Students will be taking part in a Son/Daughter to Work Day on the 26th of June 2009. Each student will be able to go to work with Mum or Dad for one day to get an understanding of work before, they have to go out on Work Experience next year. If students are unable to go to work with parents, then they can come into school and work with a member of staff for the day.

It is very important that students got out on placement as it will really help them for next year when they have to do one week placements.

Work Experience Yr 10 Students November 2009

Work Experience is an important part of the school curriculum for all students. It brings a wide range of benefits for those that take part.

Bacon’s College work experience happens at the end of November in Year 10 and lasts for one week.Students are encouraged to find their own placements in fields that they have an interest in. The attached form should be completed as soon as possible. If students have not found a placement by the deadline, a place will be found for them but may not be in their field of interest. We really encourage students to find their own placement as this is what they will have to do when they leave school and look for work.

The below form must be returned to Mrs Glasson by the 10th of July so that all the Health & Safety checks can be done.
